About Witness Messiah

This must-see drama is a ministry of the Worship & Media Arts Department at Maranatha Assembly of God in Forest Lake, MN. Witness Messiah is an original dramatic presentation that leads the audience through a powerful telling of events including the stoning of Stephen, Beatitudes, healings, the Last Supper, the death of Jesus on the cross and then His rising again after 3 days.

Witness Messiah is carefully textured for the eyes and ears to absorb the intensity of each moment. Our goal is to help every audience member feel like they are a part of what’s happening in front of and behind them.

This is not your typical passion play, to be sure. We have heard repeatedly from seasoned passion play goers that the crucifixion of Jesus in Witness Messiah is the most realistic they’ve ever seen. “You could practically be at the foot of the cross and believe that what’s happening here is real.”

It is our greatest desire in this ministry to impact and change lives - period. When all is said and done, we hope that those who do not have a relationship with Jesus Christ receive His gift of salvation. For those who already have Jesus in their lives our hope is for an increased passion to follow and obey Him.
